About Me

Hi, my name is Brian. I’m the founder of The Sip BBQ & Seafood Company—a place built on faith, family, hard work, and the simple joys of good food shared with good people.

I was raised in Southern Mississippi with a rod in one hand, a rifle in the other, and a pot of gumbo always on the stove. Cajun and Creole flavors are in my blood: crawfish boils on the bayou, deer camp breakfasts cooked over an open fire, and my granddaddy teaching me that if the food doesn’t make you close your eyes and say “mmm” on the first bite, you didn’t do it right.  Good food isn’t just a meal—it’s a way of life. I’ve spent my life enjoying the outdoors, whether it’s hunting at sunrise, fishing on a quiet afternoon, or gathering with family and friends around a fire. Those moments inspired the flavors and traditions behind The Sip.

I believe in God and Country, and I’m proud to bring those values into a restaurant that feels like home. Opening in Dawsonville, Georgia, The Sip BBQ & Seafood is my way of sharing the food I love—from slow-smoked BBQ to fresh Southern seafood—with a community that appreciates authenticity.

One of my favorite traditions is a good old-fashioned crawfish boil, and I’m excited to host annual community boils right here at The Sip. Great food brings people together, and that’s exactly what I want this place to be—a spot where stories are shared, memories are made, and everyone feels welcome.

My love for bold, Gulf Coast flavor eventually led me to create my own seasoning line, The Sip Seasoning, crafted to bring out the best in everything from smoked meats to fresh-caught seafood. It’s become a big part of the way I cook and the way I share my roots with others.
